CCV Number.
For Visa or MasterCard holders, the CCV number is the three digit number
printed after your card number, on the signature strip on the reverse
side of your card. This number is now required on mail, email or phone orders
for these cards as an additional security measure. While it is aimed mainly at
Internet transactions in which card numbers may be intercepted, it is now
required for all orders based on Visa or MasterCard charges.
There is little likelihood that your card details will be intercepted if
your order is faxed, mailed or phoned to us. However, if the order is placed
via email, we recommend you send your credit card number, expiry date, and the
CCV number separately, in six separate emails, making sure that you identify
sufficient details of the order to which it refers.
We apologise for this additional inconvenience, but we have been advised
that the CCV detail is now becoming a policy requirement for all mail order or
telephone order Visa or MasterCard services |
