A word about our instruments.....
Whenever possible, we try to purchase factory seconds. These are instruments which have a surface imperfection somewhere on the body or neck. In some cases, we have found it very difficult to find the blemish, even after being told what to look for. Some blemishes are easier to see, but nontheless, do not affect the final tone and playability of the instruments. The blemished instruments are assembled and set-up in exactly the same way as all regular 'perfect' instruments - but they are made available at a significantly reduced price. Any instrument which is found to have an irregularity with structural components, which might have an affect on tone or playability, is discarded before final assembly.

We will designate the instruments as follows:
NEW - this is a new, 'perfect' instrument with no blemishes or defects of any nature.
BLEM - this is a new factory second, with a blemish as noted above. The exact nature of the blemish is described in the accompanying description.
USED - this is a used instrument, which may or may not have nicks and scratches from usage. Call for details.

Blem - Has an elliptical dent (1/4" x 1/8") on the neck (not the fingerboard).

Blem - Has a 3/16" circular dent on the bottom of the body. Not deep.

BLEM- This instument has 2 minor cracks in the upper layer of the laminate, where the neck meets the body, one on either side of the neck. There should be no concern about long term effects. The cracks are very minor.
