
HOMESPUNThe CDs are structured so that you can learn the melody of a given song, then
sing along with either the melody or a harmony part, eventually learning up to

Dr. Ysaye M. Barnwell is a singer, actress, teacher, choir
director, community worker and health care professional. She is best known as
a member of the internationally acclaimed a capella quintet Sweet Honey In The
Rock, with whom she has recorded and toured the world for over a decade. In addition,
Ysaye founded and directed the All Souls Jubilee Singers; had a principle role
in the TV series "A Man Called Hawk;" and is highly sought after for
her dynamic teaching workshops on vocal styles in the African American tradition.
