Learn To Yodel
HOMESPUN
Taught By Cathy Fink.
Level 1
Two CDs, Includes music and lyrics.
With Guests Patsy Montana and Bill Staines

This perennial favorite was used by Bette Midler, who learned to yodel for a movie role, as well as by countless others who love the powerful singing styles of Jimmie Rodgers, Hank Williams, The Sons of the Pioneers, Slim Whitman, Patsy Montana (“The Cowboy’s Sweetheart”) and other country and western stars. These CDs are great for practicing at home, in the car or on top of a tall mountain.

Now available on CD for the first time, these lessons will enhance and strengthen your voice and add flair to your songs. Cathy and Tod help you find that natural break in your voice that changes it to a falsetto sound, gradually adding new notes and complexity until you are yodeling up a storm. Veteran folksinger Bill Staines and the legendary Patsy Montana add songs, color and ideas to these lessons.

You’ll soon be yodeling some classic songs: "Weary Blues," "Love Sick Blues," "Grandma Slid Down The Mountain," "Way Out There," "Broken Hearted Lover," "That's Where The West Begins," "Texas Plains," "New York City Blues," "Chime Bells," "Rolling Rover," "He Taught Me How To Yodel," "Alpine Honeymoon," "Duel Yodeling," "Happy Yodel" and "Ballad Of The Maples."
