Designing Guitar Solos For Bluegrass Songs
MUSICIAN'S WORKSHOP
Taught by
Chris Jones
2 CDs & Tablature Book
It shows you how to mold a simple Bluegrass melody into a fancy, tasteful, driving
guitar solo, a solo that sounds like the true melody of the song while being
hot at the same time. Chris Jones analyzes & teaches 10 songs on these 2
one-hour CDs. Each solo is broken down into its component parts, with Chris explaining
why he played what he played every step of the way. By learning this approach
you will be able to invent your own intelligent, melodic solo for any bluegrass
song. Songs Include: Used to Be, Rose of Old Kentucky, Your Love Is Like A Flower,
Think Of What You've Done, I Wonder Where You Are Tonight, I Still Miss Someone,
Why Don't You Tell Me So, White Dove, Banks of the Ohio, This Heart of Mine There
are 2 ways to put a solo together: 1. Playing licks that fit the chord progression
2. Playing the melody & then embellishing it with ornamentation. *Ultimately,
number 2 is the approach taken by the more refined experienced players. *Chris
Jones, Dan Huckabee, & Paul Kramer teamed up in 1985 to formulate a procedure
for teaching the "melody oriented" concept of solo development & have
to date released 4 products that teach the subject. 1. Designing Guitar Solos
for Bluegrass Songs 2. Designing mandolin Solos for Bluegrass Songs 3. Creating
guitar solos for bluegrass songs 4. Creating guitar solos for banjo instrumentals
Choose one or all today... you will be enlightened to a deeper level!.
