HOMESPUNSteve has chosen fifty great tunes to add to your repertoire. Some may be familiar while others, taken directly from traditional players or piper transcriptions found in the vaults of the Dublin Archives, will be new to most players. Together they will help you form a solid tune list in this vital and ever-popular musical style.
The band plays each tune three times through, once at a moderate tempo and then again up to speed (metronome settings are included) to give you plenty of time to play along. The lead part is heard, isolated on the left stereo channel, for one chorus at each speed to enable you to learn the tune’s melody. The accompanying book is written in standard music notation as well as both guitar tablature (including chord charts) and fiddle/mandolin tablature.
The jigs, double jigs, hornpipes, reels and polkas included are: Banish Misfortune,
