About Stacy Phillips

Stacy Phillips is an internationally known fiddler and Dobro player. He specializes in bluegrass, Afro-Cuban salsa and klezmer styles on the violin, and has recorded three solo albums. Stacy is the author of more than twenty-five books, including "Hot Licks for Bluegrass Fiddle," "Bluegrass Fiddle Styles" (with Kenny Kosek), "Twin Fiddling" and the two-volume "Phillips Collection of Traditional American Fiddle Tunes." As a Dobroist, he was a featured performer on “The Great Dobro Sessions,” winner of both Grammy and IBMA awards in 1995. Phillips has recorded and/or performed with Peter Rowan, Bela Fleck, Mark O'Connor, Eileen Ivers, Leon Redbone, Judy Collins and many other top acoustic musicians.
