the Chris Isaak Band, covers basic techniques, song accompaniment, chord progressions
and theory, scales and exercises, and dozens of great bass lines to songs such

Plantonio, I Never Will Marry.
Bassist
Rowland (Roly) Salley has recorded and toured internationally with the Chris
Isaak Band since 1985. He has also accompanied many folk, country and rock artists,
including John Prine, Lucinda Williams, Shawn Colvin, Ian and Sylvia, Bobby Gentry,
Joan Baez, The Woodstock Mountains Revue, the Happy and Artie Traum Band, and
Dick Dale. Roly has appeared on Jay Leno, David Letterman and other major television
talk shows and recorded a 1995 MTV Unplugged session with Chris Isaak. He is
also a prolific watercolor painter.
