About Bela Fleck
Béla Fleck has revolutionized the place of the 5-string banjo in contemporary music. An accomplished composer and banjo virtuoso, Béla's complex and lively blend of music was originally inspired by influences as varied as Earl Scruggs and Charlie Parker. Béla played banjo with New Grass Revival for eight years and his debut release with The Flecktones earned him a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Instrumental Composition. He was #1 on the Jazz Charts and Frets Magazine initiated him into its "Gallery Of The Greats."
