Bridge Pins Explained

Bridge pins come in many sizes and configurations. Who would have thought such a simple device could be so complicated. Please examine one of the old pins from your instrument and use the chart below to find the right type.

Note: Length of the pin is not really important - as long as it extends through the bridge, top and bridge plate with 1/8" or so to spare to hold the string ball end in place. Pins will vary in length from about 3/4" to 1".
